Volume I
Lessons From The Future

Chapter Title Goes Here

Editor's Note: in Volume One, the most recent writings of Frank Ogden, Dr. Tomorrow, we have gathered 15 columns from his first electronic book, Volume X (the oldest) and Volume IX (the next book published electronically). These are inserted here at the end of the 250 columns that make up the second and latest five-volume set Lessons From The Future: Countdown To The Third Millennium to show just a few samples from early Doctor Tomorrow out of the 250 columns in the first series. Some of these go back to Frank's first writings in the Vancouver Province in 1984. You may be amazed, as earlier readers were over the accuracy of his anticipated trend analysis.

We would also like to point out another item that you may not know: You will note all these early columns were written IN CAPITAL LETTERS. This was done in the early volumes of "Lessons" because Frank wanted to keep a record of the technology in the early days of the Computer Age, when the very largest, most expensive and best computers, could only write in capital letters. Their brain, or microchip couldn't hold enough memory to do both upper and lower case. Today most computer aficionados aren't even aware of that fact. Another sensitive observation, ahead of its time. He tells us that his future books will also recognize the advance of computer technology by showing color (which he can do now but for which the majority of computer users do not have the necessary equipment), 3-D, animation and Acoustic Virtual Reality. All will be included in the third of the triology of Lessons From The Future.

The third set for which writings commenced the very day the last of this five-volume set was produced, will be shipped out as each book (of the third, five-volume set) is finished, thus allowing readers to keep more in touch with the acceleration that comes with the future. This set will sell for $100 and readers who wish to order need only to contact your source and the books will be shipped, and invoiced without pre-payment as soon as produced.

For those who wish to really keep up a FaxCast of the Dr. Tomorrow forthcoming columns will be available at the rate of $150 annually, including fax transmission costs.

For Lessons readers who did not acquire the first "collectors Item" five-volume set, they are still available at the 1987 price of $70 per set. They have been retitled as: DR. TOMORROW'S HISTORICAL ANTHOLOGY OF TECHNOLOGY FROM THE LATE 1980S.

In keeping with Dr. Tomorrow's beliefs that the Spanish world will play an increasingly important role in the 21st Century Ogden has commenced translation of his books in that language. Volume VI, from his first series is already available and the entire five volumes of his new series, entitled in Spanish "D R. F U T U R O TM LECCIONES DEL PORVENIR TM" will be available January 1993.
