Before you begin using your Lax-Optic spectacles just spend a few minutes adjusting them to your exact size (should this be necessary). This is simply done by first immersing them in near-boiling water for about three minutes. The frame should be slowly and carefully bent until a comfortable fitting is attained. There are two procedures which may be followed.

(1) You can bend the arch that rests on the nose, for a tighter or looser fit, or
(2) You can bend each side-piece to suit the curvature of your head. Once the spectacles have cooled, they will retain the new shape into which you have adjusted them.

N.B. Should it be necessary to adjust your Lax-Optics, ensure that they are absolutely dry before wearing. This is very important because water tends to remain in the "pin-holes", due to surface tension, causing interference to the light-path with consequent image distortion which would render your Lax-Optics temporarily unusable. Having satisfied yourself that your Lax-Optics are fitted correctly and completely dry, try this:

Look at a newspaper without your glasses, and mark the smallest type you can see clearly. Now wear your Lax-Optics for half to one hour. Then remove them and note how much smaller type you can see with your naked eye.

You will be pleasantly surprised at the improvement in your vision.

We advise you to wear your Lax-Optics for two to three hours a day. Do all your reading with them on, but always be close to a window during the day and, in the evenings, you must have a strong light (150 watts) over your shoulder to light up the reading matter. After awhile, when your eyes have become adjusted to Lax-Optics, you will no longer be aware of the little holes. They may also be used to do office work, provided your desk is lit with a strong light. Outdoors you will find them to be very effective sunglasses. Always keep your Lax-Optics at hand. They are an excellent standby should you, or any member of your family, find themselves stranded without glasses.

RECOMMENDED 10-DAY COURSE

For 10 days, wear your Lax-Optics for an uninterrupted period of two hours each day. Try not to miss any days. The good results thus achieved will be self-evident.

LAX-OPTIC MAINTENANCE

To guarantee the best results, your Lax-Optics glasses must be kept spotlessly clean (as with any spectacles). Dirt or water collected within the precisely-sized "pin holes" can cause distortion. Should this occur, the "pin-holes" can be easily cleaned by simply pulling a tread through each one.

IMPORTANT
Do not drive a car while wearing Lax-Optics as peripheral vision is obstructed. Nor should they be worn in poor light unless you are watching TV or a film show.
